Tratamientos de Algarroba
Receta:
Cantidad Medida Ingrediente -- Método de Preparación

6 tazas harina de arroz blanco
1/8 taza aceite de cacahuate
1/8 taza aceite alazor
1 cucharada azúcar morena
2 onza virutas de algarroba (disponible en tiendas de salud -- almacenes surtidos)
1 taza agua
1/4 taza melaza
1/2 taza leche en polvo
Mezcle los ingredientes secos en un tazón grande. Agregue los ingredientes restantes y mezcle hasta que este bien mezclado. La pasta estará tiesa. Deje enfriar. Enrolle la pasta en una cacerola engrasada y corte en figuras de 1/2 de pulgada de grueso. Cocine al horno por 1 hora a 300 (148 C).Rinde de 2 a tres docenas.
Por la tendencia de formación de piedras urinarias en los Schnauzer, Dálmatas, y otras ciertas razas , las dietas y tratamientos bajos en ingredientes de purina son anunciados. Cada tentativa ha sido creada que esta receta uitiliza relativamente ingredientes bajos en purina, sin embargo no puedo garantizarle que su cachorro no tendrá alguna reacción a estos tratamientos, ya sea alérgicos o urinarios. until blended. Dough will be stiff. Chill. Roll dough on a greased cookie
pan and cut into shapes 1/2 inch thick. Bake at 300 for 1 hour. Makes 2 to
3 dozen.
Because of the Schnauzer, Dalmatian, and certain other breeds' tendency
toward urinary stone formation, diets and treats low in "purine-yielding
ingredients" are advised. Every attempt has been made to ensure that this
recipe uses relatively low purine ingredients, however I cannot guarantee
that your dog will not have a reaction to these treats, either allergic or
urinary. It is very important to monitor the pH of your dog's urine when
introducing new foods and treats to its diet. The urinary pH should not
deviate from the normal pH of 7.0 if all is well. If you note any
deviation, you should contact your veterinarian immediately for a standard
urinalysis to see if abnormal urinary crystals are forming which can "grow
up" to become obstructing stones, or to detect other urinary problems.
